Take a moment to consider how fortunate you are. There are so many aspects of life that you take for granted. But what about the children and youth in our community whose hope for a better life lies in the hands of others?
The Children’s Aid Foundation was established to give children and youth hope for a better life. With your help, we will build better futures for our community’s children and youth.
You can donate by calling (807) 343-6100 or by mailing a cheque payable to The Children’s Aid Foundation of the District of Thunder Bay, 1110 Jade Court, Thunder Bay ON, P7B 6M7. A tax receipt will be provided once your donation is processed. Our Charitable Registration Number is: 11926 4091 RR0001.

A new feature for the website is in development that will provide you with multiple donation options. You will be able to choose to provide a one time donation, make a contribution in someone else’s name or direct your donation. This new donation feature will be launching in the near future, below is a list of ways you can donate.
One-Time Donation
Making a donation to The Children’s Aid Foundation of the District of Thunder Bay assists our community’s most vulnerable children, youth and families. With a one time donation you enrich the lives of our community’s in need children, youth and families. A one-time donation allows you to choose the amount that you’d like to donate.
Directed Funds
Donor directed funds provide opportunity for you to specify how you wish your donation to be used to support our community’s children, youth and families. Such donations typically assist in the funding of recreational opportunities for children in agency care or to children and youth receiving society services within their family home. Directed funds allow you to choose the amount that you’d like to donate.
Pay It Forward Donation
A Pay it Forward donation allows you to recognize and honour someone important to you with a donation on their behalf. As a pay it forward gift you may also consider donating instead of receiving or giving a birthday present or a gift in celebration of an important event. Pay it Forward donations provide opportunity to support and resource a child, youth or family within our community. A Pay it Forward donation allows you to choose the amount that you’d like to contribute.
Donation in Memory
When you make a donation in memory of someone dear to you, not only do you honour their legacy you create opportunity to enrich the life of a child. Your donation will assist a child or youth engage in recreational, social or cultural events or provide needed supports or supplies to a family in need. A donation in a loved one’s memory allows you to choose the amount that you’d like to contribute.
Legacy Giving
By remembering The Children’s Aid Society of the District of Thunder Bay in your will, your generosity will improve the lives and outcomes of our community’s most vulnerable children and youth. As a pay it forward gift your legacy giving contribution will fund programs and build brighter futures for the young people involved in the child welfare system. Your legacy giving donation also allows you to choose the amount that you would like to contribute.
James L. Murray Endowment
In recognition of Jim Murray’s long term provision of legal services and his dedication and commitment to children, youth and families, the Endowment will support children and youth affiliated with the Children’s Aid Society to explore their interest in creative arts or pursue post-secondary law studies.
